My spirit isn’t the same. Changing faces, shifting perspectives,
these things only made me better. They made me whole, again.

I am a better friend, a better love, a better sister, a better daughter, a better companion, a better everything! Every single day, I learn something new about myself, I learn something new about you too.

I am extremely grateful to have people around me who believe in me and say the most wonderful things to me, daily. I had to find my way back to my people. For a while, I was distracted! I am big on loyalty and trust. I don’t change friends often. The same people have been with me since middle school, since college, for many years now. They are my family.

My mom always said, “choose your friends wisely.” My intuition allowed me to choose the greatest friends, the ones who would be there no matter what. True love, unconditional.

I hear you Mr. Coltrane
Building and breaking down rhythms
Suspended, intensive tension
Creating transformative experiences that heal our souls
I hear you inside of me,
consuming me
Driving me to create and co-create,
allowing me this intuitive moment of recreation

I feel you engaging me and filling me with water
changing my molecular structure
giving me power and reminding me of who I am
I’m becoming her again
As I go through these motions
These hard bottoms,
the rug was pulled from beneath me and all I could do is
tune in to a mellow mood
I hear you
Making me remember where I come from
I see our ancestors lining up to hear you
Turiya joining, spiritual unity at its highest,
or low, improvise,
play me a song, so I can levitate
Trance, meditate,
towards be bop, I gravitate
I see you standing beside me, pushing me to my limits,
a love profound
Giving and receiving
your love Supreme
I am traveling in these abstract realms
Seeing to know
to live
to be
Closer to who I am, closer and closer
I change the track and let

As I move towards this rare thing called “knowledge of self” I always want to tell the truth, I abandon secrecy to reach higher heights, I have respect for all things, I can see the light in the dark, I appreciate things opposite of myself, I have more balance, I choose harmony, I preserve myself, I am filled with reverence, I receive, I attract … and the list goes on.

His message, her message…

I know there’s a lot to be angry about in this world, but let’s talk about how you feel and why. When you shout I can’t hear you at all.

It is my mission to keep my cool. I only raise my voice when I’m speaking passionately, but really, not even then. I find that as I get deeper into my spiritual practices, the desire to shout has faded. I just want peace of mind.
